Vice President, Healthcare Analytics and IT Solutions

 

Employers Health Network (EHN) is a dynamic and growing organization that provides an innovative set of healthcare financial management, network, care management and analytic services to self-insured employers throughout the country.   The Vice President, Healthcare Analytics and IT Solutions provides strategic, service and management leadership in overseeing the selection and management of technology and analytic solutions that support the needs of the organization and its customers.

The Vice President works closely with senior management within EHN, across affiliate organizations and in collaboration with clients to identify technology and analytic needs, select and implement solutions and oversee teams that support and use the solutions.   The VP has broad responsibility for technical and analytic teams responsible for operational systems, data warehousing, data management, analysis and reporting.  The specific responsibilities encompass health and benefit plan operations and reporting and include the following.

  • Leads, documents and implements a technology strategy that supports successful operations within the organization and across vendor and contracted partner solutions.
  • Leads and manages the selection and use of healthcare data analytic tools
  • Ensures the security and stability of technology and data assets and solutions
  • Manages and improves the quality of technology solutions and data assets
  • Oversees the design of internal and client analytic and reporting products and services
  • Builds and leads technical and analytic teams
  • Generates service lines and responsible for managing revenue and financial performance
  • Works with clients and internal teams to determine analytic priorities and needs
  • Increases analytic effectiveness and advances visualization capabilities
  • Represents the organization with senior management, affiliated company leadership, vendors and clients
  • Selects and leads the management of data and analytic vendors and services
  • Leads strategy and analytic innovation initiatives
  • Builds and manages effective teams and a proactive service-based culture
  • Maintains and improves quality of team, tools and services

Supervisory Responsibility

Builds and leads technical and consultative analytic teams and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, salaried position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional after-hours or weekend duties.  

Travel

This position requires up to 30% travel.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree required or related experience in healthcare IT, analytics or actuarial analytics
  • 10 years in a health insurance plan, self-insured employer administration or accountable care organization analytic, information technology or healthcare economics area
  • 8 years in a management or executive role
  • Expertise in healthcare IT, claims analysis and working knowledge of other health data resources
  • Strategy and business development experience
  • Advanced analytic knowledge of risk scoring, population and cost/utilization measurement
  • Experience developing and managing high performing teams
  • Client management experience
  • Persuasive and executive level communication skills
  • Technology selection, management and improvement experience
